FRIENDLY VISITORS/GARDEN ANGELS

Friendly Visitors and Garden Angels, based in Sharon, offer two programs to assist our older or handicapped neighbors. Friendly Visitors is designed to match seniors or handicapped people who would like a bit of companionship with volunteers who can make regular visits and an occasional phone call. Clients and volunteers may just chat, share hobbies and interests, attend a concert or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Garden Angels can assist clients with their gardening projects – perhaps to plan a small garden and help maintain it or to leaf through catalogs together during the winter months. Our services are available in Canaan, Cornwall, Falls Village, Kent, Lakeville, Norfolk, Salisbury and Sharon. All services are free. Friendly Visitors and Garden Angels is supported by The Chore Service, participating communities and private donations.
