Can you spare 2 hours a month?  The Sharon Lions Club meets once per month, on the third Wednesday at Wandering Moose Cafe in West Cornwall. The meetings start at 7pm and include dinner and usually a guest speaker. The meetings run about 2 hours. The Sharon Lions Club serves a number of organizations at events throughout the year. These include providing food for the Sharon little league summer picnic, and hosting the Boy Scouts' annual honors event. Additionally, the Sharon Lions Club holds fund raisers, the biggest of which is our annual golf tournament in July which raises thousands of dollars for scholarships. We also host dinners and sell raffle tickets. We are currently planning exciting new events.

Membership dues are $25.00 a month which covers the cost of the dinner meeting and Lions District and International dues. District and International dues money aids Lions Club causes, chief among them is combating blindness worldwide.  Lions have also aided disasters here at home including Hurricane Katrina and the 9-11 attacks.

The Sharon Lions Club are men and women who are from all walks of life; bankers, broadcasters, attorneys, plumbers, teachers, retirees, inventors, small business owners, secretaries and more! The main requirement is a willingness to serve! Contact any Sharon Lions Club member about a membership application. Our membership chairman is Barclay Prindle. He can be reached at Prindle Insurance 860-364-5000 or you can contact our President Carl Marshall at Sharon Optical 860-364-0878 with questions about our organization.
