Current Town Projects









The Town of Salisbury, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for completing Pavement Rehabilitation on Twin Lakes Road.

This project generally consists of full-depth reclamation, uniform roadway widening to 24 feet, and reconstruction of Twin Lakes Road to meet minimum Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) design standards. The project begins at the intersection of Twin Lakes Road and Between-The-Lakes Road and ends at the intersection of Twin Lakes Road and Cooper Hill Road, for a length of 4,550 feet. The work also includes construction of underdrains and driveway aprons and the placement of signage and pavement markings. The contractor will be required to maintain and protect traffic throughout the work area during construction in accordance with ConnDOT requirements.

The work described above includes furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into the project as well as performing or providing all labor, supervision, equipment and services unless otherwise noted within the bid documents.

A mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the site, starting at the intersection of Twin Lakes Road and Between-The-Lakes Road in Salisbury, CT.

Sealed bids will be received by Curtis Rand, First Selectman, Salisbury Town Hall, 27 Main Street Salisbury, CT  06068, until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 5, 2017, at which time the will be publicly opened and read aloud.  No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening.

The Contract Documents, including bid specifications and drawings are available for review at the Salisbury Town Hall, Office of the First Selectman, 27 Main Street, Salisbury, CT. The Salisbury Town Hall is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies of these Contract Documents may be purchased at the Office of the First Selectman for a fee of $35.00 per set.

A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid.  The Bid Bond shall be made payable to Town of Salisbury and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties registered in the State of Connecticut.

This contract is subject to utilization goals and requirements for participation of certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Town of Salisbury hereby notifies all bidders that this contract has been assigned a 0% goal for DBE, as certified by ConnDOT.
