Salisbury Senior Center Knitting & Crochet Club
WHERE: The Salisbury Senior Center at the Town Grove, 42 Ethan Allen St., Lakeville
WHEN: Mondays From 1:00-3:00PM – Starting October 16th, 2023
WHO: Knitters And Crocheters Of All Levels Welcome. Beginners
Should Bring Size 8 Knitting Needles And Worsted Weight Yarn.
WHAT: Bring Project You Are Working On Or Start A New One. Coffee and Tea will be provided. Meet other seniors from the area.
Cost: This is a FREE program.

Senior Nutrition Program Returns to the Senior Center on Oct. 4
Lunches will be served at the Senior Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:00pm starting Oct. 4. The suggested donation is $5.00 those 65 & up, $6.50 for those under 65. Reservations are required at least 24-hours in advance.

Ping Pong at the Senior Center
 Adult ping pong will meet at the Senior Center will meet on Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30pm starting October 5th.  It is recommended that all participants are fully vaccinated. 
Anyone not vaccinated can participate but must wear a mask.

AARP TaxAide, Please contact Lisa McAuliffe, 860-435-5186
(FEB – APRIL). Salisbury Senior Services, in cooperation with the IRS, again sponsors the AARP Tax-Aide Program at Salisbury Town Grove in Lakeville. All tax returns will be e-filed, greatly speeding up refunds. Volunteers, trained by AARP and certified by the IRS, will be available to assist low income and 60 & older citizens with the preparation and filing of all tax forms, both state & federal, and to answer any questions. There is absolutely no charge for this service. Call Lisa McAuliffe at 860-435-5186 to schedule an appointment for Wednesdays, February 14 through April 10.

     The office of Senior Services for the Town of Salisbury is a resource to gain information and referral resources for senior citizens and their families. Available local, state, and federal resources include: Medicare, Medicaid, QMB, ConnPace, Prescription Assistance, Heating and Fuel Assistance Programs, Senior Nutrition Site, Meals-On-Wheels, Food Pantries, Transportation to Medical appointments and shopping, Chore Services, Homecare, Visiting Nurses, Housing Options, Assisted Living Hospital, Nursing Home Placement, Healthcare, Blood Pressure Screening, AARP Programs, Tax-Aide, Safe Driving, Protective Services, Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Educational Programs, Support Groups, Social Events, and Trips.
The Salisbury Seniors offer a wide variety of programs and activities for area folks at the Town Grove Recreational Building, Monday through Friday. The site, overlooking beautiful Lake Wononscopomuc, is home to the Lakeville Nutrition Program lunches, held Monday through Thursday at noon. Participants enjoy a hot, nutritious meal that includes milk, bread and coffee or tea. Suggested donation is just $4.00. Reservations must be made at least one day ahead by calling the lunch site, 860-435-5197, 10:30am-1:00pm.
